While standard AI workshops and off-the-shelf team training can be a strong starting point, custom training ensures it meets your team’s specific needs. Custom AI workshops are a strong way to accomplish this; whether it is a short 2-hour session or a multi-day initiative, custom training can make a substantial difference in your team’s AI adoption efforts.
A custom AI workshop from the Canadian AI Advancement Institute can cover AI ethics, AI security, available AI tools, prompt engineering and customizing consumer-facing AI models, plus additional topics you request. Rather than following a fixed curriculum, we build the session around what your organization needs to make progress on AI adoption.
The session is designed to be timely and easy to understand while accounting for what your team has already learned rather than starting everyone from zero. Its content aligns with government objectives and workforce development goals, and incorporates insights from contributing AI experts, so a session built for one team still reflects what AI literacy is expected to cover more widely.
Every organization’s starting point with AI is different, and a workshop built for a generic audience can make a varying impact depending on your team’s skills and needs. A custom workshop starts with a short scoping conversation about your tools, your industry, and your team’s current comfort with AI, then builds the session from there.
From that scoping conversation, we draw on the same core building blocks as our standard workshops: ethics, security, available tools, prompt engineering and model customization. We combine those in whatever mix fits your goals. Where your organization has a topic none of our standard workshops cover, we can build it in at your request.
On the day, the session runs as facilitated live training rather than a lecture, with your team working through examples drawn from their own operations and asking questions against their own tools.
Sessions run two to six hours, online or in-person, and can be delivered as a single session or split across more than one date if your team’s schedule calls for it.
CAIAI has built custom workshops for organizations whose needs didn’t fit a standard format, from land management to facility maintenance to municipal associations, tailoring each session to the client’s own tools and operations.
Each time, the result was a session the team could apply immediately because it focused on problems they already recognized rather than a generic introduction to AI. Where a client has come back, it has usually been to go deeper on something the first session surfaced rather than to repeat it.
These posts cover the topics we most often build into a custom session.
Learners or employers are usually unaware of opportunities to pay for their learning. We have shared resources to help you identify available funding opportunities, including scholarships for individuals and grant programs for individuals and employers.
Apply for a scholarship through our Canadian AI scholarships page. In addition, visit our Canadian AI grant funding page to see what individuals or employers can apply for.
Tell us about your team and your goals, and we’ll schedule a short scoping call to build your agenda before confirming a date and price.
The Canadian AI Advancement Institute exists to help Canadians learn, adapt and succeed with AI. A custom workshop is how we do that when your organization’s starting point doesn’t match anyone else’s, meeting your team exactly where they are.
