Most organizations know AI matters, but few have given their team the structured training to use it well, and the gap between using a tool and using it responsibly keeps growing.
The Canadian AI Advancement Institute’s AI workshops upskill your team in AI, covering everything from AI ethics to practical applications. Every session is available online or in person, offered in both standard and tailored formats, and catered to your industry wherever the opportunity arises. Whether your team needs a short introduction or a half-day instructional workshop, we’ll find a format to suit your needs.
Generative AI: How to use AI ethically, safely and effectively is our shortest introductory workshop, built for teams that are new to AI or that have adopted it unevenly. In two hours, we identify popular and useful AI tools, discuss their ethical and security implications, and cover high-level prompting methods. It runs online or in person and gives everyone in the room the same vocabulary and the same boundaries to work within.
Generative AI and Productivity is our most compact workshop, designed to fit a busy team’s calendar. In one to two hours, we outline the importance of generative AI tools in the workplace and how to maximize your team’s productivity, covering how to achieve optimal AI outputs with specialized prompts, how to build AI workflows using one or more AI tools, and how to be productive in your AI implementation. It runs online or in person.
AI in the Workplace: Learn, Adapt and Succeed with AI in Your Industry is our applied session for teams that want to leave with actionable skills. It identifies popular, useful AI tools; covers their ethical and security implications; teaches high-level prompting methods; and dedicates time to applying those methods with your team and to the AI workflow development process. It runs online or in person for two to four hours.
Generative AI and Automation is our workshop for teams ready to stop doing the same task by hand. We map out the ethical and security implications of AI, work through the various types of prompts and prompt engineering, and then outline a suite of AI and automation tools that help save time and money. It runs for one and a half to four hours, online or in person, and at the longer end, the session includes hands-on support to set up your team’s own automations.
Adapting to AI in Industry: Implementing AI Ethically, Safely and Effectively offers a deeper look at the implications of AI adoption and provides organizations with a framework for successful AI implementation: the ETPIA framework (Exploration, Testing, Policy, Implementation, and Adoption).
Organizations can choose between 2.5 and 4 hours and learn about AI ethics, security, prompt engineering, types of machine learning, AI workflow development, practical applications, customizing consumer-facing AI models, and the ETPIA framework. It’s built for managers, decision-makers, changemakers and champions within an organization, and it runs online or in person.
AI for Institutions: Exploring ethical, safe and effective AI use is our workshop for schools, districts, colleges and universities. It covers the ethical and security considerations of institutional generative AI use, including deployments inside and outside the classroom, and then moves to the tools, use cases and prompting methods staff can use in their own work. It runs between two to four hours, online or in person.
CAIAI has delivered AI workshops to a broad range of Canadian organizations, from chambers of commerce and non-profits to construction associations and municipal employers. Sessions have run from a single introductory afternoon to ongoing management-level training, in person and online.
For most clients, the workshop is where AI adoption stops being theoretical. Teams leave with a shared vocabulary, a working sense of where AI fits their day-to-day operations, and, on the deeper formats, a framework they can keep using after the session ends.

Learners or employers are usually unaware of opportunities to pay for their learning. We have shared resources to help you identify available funding opportunities, including scholarships for individuals and grant programs for individuals and employers.
Apply for a scholarship through our Canadian AI scholarships page. In addition, visit our Canadian AI grant funding page to see what individuals or employers can apply for.
Tell us about your team and your goals, and we’ll recommend a format and follow up within two business days to confirm scheduling and pricing.
The Canadian AI Advancement Institute exists to help Canadians learn, adapt and succeed with AI. Our workshops are one of the most direct ways we do that: a live session that meets your team where they are and leaves them able to use AI ethically, safely and effectively.
