AI Strategy Planning for Organizations

Investing in AI tools isn’t the hard part; determining what tasks to automate, selecting the right tools, managing the change, and getting value from the investment can prove difficult. To increase the success of your AI adoption initiative, identify a clear plan: which problems AI should address, in what order, and who owns the change.

  • Identify where AI actually fits your operations.
  • Get a roadmap to pursue adoption, not simply a list of tools.
  • Choose a depth that matches how far along you are.
  • Keep ongoing support in place to ensure success.

From AI Interest to a Running Order

AI strategy planning from the Canadian AI Advancement Institute produces a customized AI implementation strategy aligned to your business objectives, covering tool selection through to a workable transition. The output is a decision your leadership can act on: where AI helps here, what to do first, and what it will take.

The work comes in three tiers, so a first-look review and a full implementation program are both available rather than one being a discount version of the other. Which one fits depends less on your organization’s size than on how much you have already worked out.

What Is AI Strategy Planning?

When adopting AI, it is often hard to know where to start and what an organization actually needs. Most leadership teams can name a few tools and a few frustrations, but not the order in which addressing them would compound. Strategy planning turns that into an actionable set of activities.

For this initiative, our team has three strategic tiers available:

  • Exploring: Identifies the key opportunities and the generative tools that could strengthen your organization, delivered as introductory findings for a first step toward adoption.
  • Advancing: Adds the applicable tools and a strategic implementation program, so you can proceed with your AI initiatives with a roadmap.
  • Implementing: Advancing plus ongoing support for the first month after delivery that includes three one-hour meetings, in person or remote.

Underneath all three tiers is ETPIA: exploration, testing, policy, implementation and adoption. It is the framework we use to work through AI implementation in order, and it puts policy in the middle rather than at the end. Engagements are scoped per client.

Strategies We've Built

Previously, our team worked closely with a construction and property maintenance firm on an Implementing-level-strategy to support AI adoption within the organization.

  • Greyspace Maintenance: A strategic implementation plan plus four workshops on roadmapping, tool selection and AI-supported sales, ending in named tool adoption across the team.

Our Mission

The Canadian AI Advancement Institute exists to help Canadians learn, adapt and succeed with AI. Strategy planning is the adapt part: turning what an organization has learned about AI into decisions it can act on and live with.
